This policy explains what information PawFYI, operated by Hanway Solutions LLC, collects and how we use it. We collect as little as we need.

Information we collect

• Contact details you give us (your email, and your name if you provide it) when you join the newsletter, create an account, or contact us.
• Pet details you choose to save (your pet's name, species, breed, age, and any notes or records).
• Form details you submit, such as an error report or feedback.
• Usage data (pages viewed, referring site, browser and device type, and approximate location from your IP address), collected in aggregate by our analytics.
• Affiliate attribution (a partner or click ID on paid links, so retailers can credit us; not your name or email).

How we use data

• To run the site and the tools you use.
• To send the newsletter or emails you asked for.
• To understand which content and tools help readers.
• To keep the site secure and comply with the law.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your pet's notes or records for advertising.
• We do not share your pet's records with retailers, brands, or insurers.

Third-party processors

We use a small number of service providers who handle data only on our behalf:

• Vercel — hosting and cookie-free page analytics.
• Supabase — database and account sign-in.
• Cloudflare — file storage and DNS.
• Email delivery provider — sending newsletters and account emails (your email address only).

If PawFYI changes hands

If PawFYI is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner. Whoever ends up running PawFYI is bound by this policy until they tell you otherwise, and we will notify account holders before any change.

Data retention

• Account data and saved pet details: kept until you delete them, then removed within 120 days.
• Newsletter email: kept until you unsubscribe.
• Logs and support messages: up to 24 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download, or delete your information, and to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising. Email petfyiadmin@gmail.com and we'll respond within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for asking.

Cookies and tracking

We use only essential cookies, such as the one that keeps you signed in. Our analytics don't use cookies. Retailers you visit through our links may set their own cookies on their sites. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

California privacy addendum

California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

Children's privacy

PawFYI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
