Pet food brands, and who owns them

Beneful comes from Purina, which puts it under the same parent company, Nestlé Purina PetCare, as the rest of Purina's foods. It's a dog brand, with both dry and wet food in the range.

They look like separate brands, but Pro Plan, Purina ONE and Fancy Feast share a maker: Purina, Nestlé's US pet food business, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. That's worth knowing when you compare them, because you're looking at three lines from one company, not three competitors.
